  • Ernie Banks (1931–2015), Duke Snider (1926–2011), and Lou Brock (1939–2020) were three legendary National League stars and members of the National Baseball Hall of Fame. Banks, affectionately known as “Mr. Cub,” spent his entire 19-season Major League career with the Chicago Cubs. A 14-time All-Star, he won back-to-back National League MVP Awards in 1958 and 1959 and finished his career with 512 home runs, becoming one of the greatest power-hitting shortstops in baseball history.Snider, nicknamed the “Duke of Flatbush,” was the powerful center fielder of the Brooklyn Dodgers’ celebrated teams of the 1950s. An eight-time All-Star, he hit 407 career home runs and helped the Dodgers capture their historic first World Series championship in 1955, followed by another title after the franchise moved to Los Angeles in 1959.Brock became one of baseball’s greatest base stealers after joining the St. Louis Cardinals in 1964. A six-time All-Star and two-time World Series champion, he accumulated 3,023 hits and 938 stolen bases, retiring as Major League Baseball’s all-time career stolen-base leader. He also set a then-record with 118 stolen bases in 1974. Together, Banks, Snider, and Brock represent an exceptional trio of power, hitting, speed, and some of the most memorable careers of their era.

Approximately ninety percent (90%) of the autographed items in this Collection were personally signed by the athlete in Mr. Andrews' presence. The remaining items were obtained from reputable auction sites.Mr. Andrews affirms that, to the best of his personal knowledge, no item in this Collection has been falsified, altered, re-signed, or misrepresented, and that the details provided for each item are accurate andbased on his own first-hand experience obtaining the autograph. Mr. Andrews began collecting baseball cards in the late 1950’s and continued into the early 1990’s. He befriended several promoters of sports card shows in the mid-1980’s, and this is how he came to know the athletes and obtain the majority of the autographs in his collection. In assisting with the aforementioned sports card shows, he was able to meet and spend personal time with many of his childhood baseball heroes, including Mickey Mantle, Don Drysdale, Whitey Ford, Ernie Banks, Eddie Mathews, Al Kaline, Brooks Robinson, and many others.As added assurance, Crafted Auctions will accept the return of any item in this Collection if the buyer obtains a documented “not authentic” determination from PSA/DNA, JSA, or Beckett within one hundredtwenty (120) days of purchase. The item must be returned in the same condition in which it was received, accompanied by the authenticator's written determination, for a full refund of the purchase price. Additionally, by appointment, Mr. Andrews will make himself available to share with any buyer additional specific details of any item in the Collection that is being offered at auction.
