  • Frantz Industries Aero Art Machine Age Cocktail Tray and Six Etched Glasses
  • Frantz Industries Manufacturing created a line of Douglas Aircraft Co. Cocktail Bar Carts called Aero Art Products specifically for the DC3 model. They offered a cocktail cart w/removable tray & glasses. We have here the original Tray and 4-Highball Glasses and 2 Shot Glasses, all original glass w/etched DC3 airplanes around the body of the glasses, a very unique offering and very Art Deco of the period. The design for DC3 by Frantz Industries Manufacturing, offer this unique Tray very Machine Age of spun aluminum & black Bakelite Serving Tray. Frantz Industries, and their Aero-Art Line of Products were located in Los Angeles, CA for use on the Douglas DC-3 airplanes during the 1930’s. They made the trays, and even a rolling airline cart. The Glassware is believed to be by Libbey Glassworks for Frantz Aero-Art Line, as seen in Steven Visakay's Cocktail book, 1997, on page 161.
