  • George Kell, Frank Howard, Bill Mazeroski Hand Signed Autographed Baseballs
  • George Kell (1922–2009), Frank Howard (1936–2023), and Bill Mazeroski (born 1936) were standout Major League Baseball players known for very different strengths on the diamond. Kell was a superb third baseman best remembered for his years with the Detroit Tigers. A 10-time All-Star, he captured the 1949 American League batting championship, edging Ted Williams by a fraction of a point, and finished his career with a .306 batting average and 2,054 hits. He was inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame in 1983.Howard, nicknamed “Hondo” and the “Capital Punisher,” was one of baseball’s most imposing power hitters of the 1960s. The 6-foot-7 slugger was the 1960 National League Rookie of the Year with the Los Angeles Dodgers and later became the face of the Washington Senators, twice leading the American League in home runs. He finished his career with 382 home runs and 1,119 RBIs.Mazeroski spent his entire 17-season career with the Pittsburgh Pirates and became one of the finest defensive second basemen in baseball history, winning eight Gold Gloves and earning 10 All-Star selections. He is forever remembered for his walk-off home run in Game 7 of the 1960 World Series, which defeated the New York Yankees and remains the only Game 7 walk-off home run in World Series history. Mazeroski was inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame in 2001.

  • This Collection is offered with the personal guarantee of the consignor, Richard Andrews, who assembled it directly from the athletes over many years of collecting. Approximately ninety percent (90%) of the autographed items in this Collection were personally signed by the athlete in Mr. Andrews' presence. The remaining items were obtained from reputable auction sites.Mr. Andrews affirms that, to the best of his personal knowledge, no item in this Collection has been falsified, altered, re-signed, or misrepresented, and that the details provided for each item are accurate andbased on his own first-hand experience obtaining the autograph. Mr. Andrews began collecting baseball cards in the late 1950’s and continued into the early 1990’s. He befriended several promoters of sports card shows in the mid-1980’s, and this is how he came to know the athletes and obtain the majority of the autographs in his collection. In assisting with the aforementioned sports card shows, he was able to meet and spend personal time with many of his childhood baseball heroes, including Mickey Mantle, Don Drysdale, Whitey Ford, Ernie Banks, Eddie Mathews, Al Kaline, Brooks Robinson, and many others.As added assurance, Crafted Auctions will accept the return of any item in this Collection if the buyer obtains a documented “not authentic” determination from PSA/DNA, JSA, or Beckett within one hundredtwenty (120) days of purchase. The item must be returned in the same condition in which it was received, accompanied by the authenticator's written determination, for a full refund of the purchase price. Additionally, by appointment, Mr. Andrews will make himself available to share with any buyer additional specific details of any item in the Collection that is being offered at auction.
