- This rare JB Owens majolica planter and pedestal a dynamic Pegasus motif in high relief, rendered in a richly colored and glossy majolica glaze. A fine example of Owens Pottery’s decorative artistry, the piece showcases classical inspiration and vibrant detail, reflecting the company’s reputation for quality art pottery during the early 20th century.
- Excellent condition. Shows well with minor repairs to horses on pedestal. Short tight factory firing line and small half of pinkie nail shallow repair to rim on the jardiniere. There is a small chip to base edge of the jardiniere.
- Inside of jardiniere is marked with JB Owens Pottery Co.
- Jardiniere is 16" tall and 22 1/2" wide. Pedestal is 18" tall and 18" wide. Together they are 31" tall.
