  • John Elway (born 1960) is one of the most celebrated quarterbacks in NFL history and a defining figure of the Denver Broncos franchise. The first overall selection in the 1983 NFL Draft, Elway spent his entire 16-season NFL career with Denver from 1983–1998, becoming renowned for his powerful throwing arm, mobility, toughness, and ability to engineer dramatic fourth-quarter comebacks.Elway led the Broncos to five Super Bowl appearances, including three during the 1980s. One of his defining moments came in the 1986 AFC Championship Game against Cleveland, when he orchestrated the legendary 98-yard game-tying march known as “The Drive.” After years of postseason frustration, Elway closed his career by leading Denver to back-to-back Super Bowl championships in Super Bowls XXXII and XXXIII, earning Super Bowl XXXIII MVP honors in his final NFL game.A nine-time Pro Bowl selection and 1987 NFL MVP, Elway retired with 51,475 passing yards, 300 touchdown passes, and 148 victories as a starting quarterback. His No. 7 was retired by the Broncos, and he was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2004, cementing his legacy as one of the premier quarterbacks of his generation.

Approximately ninety percent (90%) of the autographed items in this Collection were personally signed by the athlete in Mr. Andrews' presence. The remaining items were obtained from reputable auction sites.Mr. Andrews affirms that, to the best of his personal knowledge, no item in this Collection has been falsified, altered, re-signed, or misrepresented, and that the details provided for each item are accurate andbased on his own first-hand experience obtaining the autograph. Mr. Andrews began collecting baseball cards in the late 1950’s and continued into the early 1990’s. He befriended several promoters of sports card shows in the mid-1980’s, and this is how he came to know the athletes and obtain the majority of the autographs in his collection. In assisting with the aforementioned sports card shows, he was able to meet and spend personal time with many of his childhood baseball heroes, including Mickey Mantle, Don Drysdale, Whitey Ford, Ernie Banks, Eddie Mathews, Al Kaline, Brooks Robinson, and many others.As added assurance, Crafted Auctions will accept the return of any item in this Collection if the buyer obtains a documented “not authentic” determination from PSA/DNA, JSA, or Beckett within one hundredtwenty (120) days of purchase. The item must be returned in the same condition in which it was received, accompanied by the authenticator's written determination, for a full refund of the purchase price. Additionally, by appointment, Mr. Andrews will make himself available to share with any buyer additional specific details of any item in the Collection that is being offered at auction.
