  • Ultra rare iconic 1938 Paul Schreckengost Streamline Moderne Art Deco Teapot / Pitcher Mfg’d by Gem Clay Forming Co. as a gift for its most valuable customers. It quickly went out of production and was never offered for sale. Paul is the brother of Viktor Schreckengost,famed industrially designer. Extremely hard to find in any condition and considered an icon of 1930's streamline moderne design. The Paul Schreckgost pitcher is even featured in the book "American Streamlined Design, The World of Tomorrow" By David A. Hanks and Ann Hoy. (our Pitcher was displayed at the 1987 LOS ANGELES COUNTY MUSEUM OF ART featuring THE MACHINE AGE IN AMERICA), see M-9645 for expo brochure. Piece doesn't have normal crazing lines in glaze and not restores, it's as new un-used vintage condition. (Includes a reproduction lid which is missing normally or broken, is in matching chromium finish)
