  • Roger Clemens Hand Signed Autographed Rawlings Baseball
  • Roger Clemens (born 1962), nicknamed “The Rocket,” was one of the most dominant power pitchers in Major League Baseball history. Clemens pitched 24 Major League seasons from 1984 through 2007 with the Boston Red Sox, Toronto Blue Jays, New York Yankees, and Houston Astros, becoming renowned for his overpowering fastball, durability, and strikeout ability. An 11-time All-Star, Clemens won a record seven Cy Young Awards, capturing the honor with four different teams. His breakthrough came with Boston in 1986, when he went 24–4 with a 2.48 ERA, won both the American League Cy Young and MVP Awards, and helped the Red Sox reach the World Series. That season he also became the first pitcher in Major League history to record 20 strikeouts in a nine-inning game, a feat he repeated in 1996.Clemens later won consecutive Cy Young Awards with Toronto in 1997 and 1998 before joining the Yankees, where he was part of World Series championship teams in 1999 and 2000. At age 42 with Houston in 2004, he won his seventh Cy Young Award. Clemens finished his career with 354 victories, 4,672 strikeouts, 118 complete games, 46 shutouts, and a 3.12 ERA, ranking third on MLB’s career strikeout list.Clemens’ legacy has also been shaped by allegations of performance-enhancing drug use, which he has denied. He was named in the 2007 Mitchell Report and later faced federal charges related to testimony before Congress, but was acquitted on all counts in 2012. Despite his extraordinary career statistics and seven Cy Young Awards, Clemens was not elected to the Baseball Hall of Fame during his 10 years on the Baseball Writers’ Association of America ballot.
