  • Wayne Gretzky Hand Signed Autographed Rawlings Baseball
  • Wayne Gretzky (born 1961), universally known as “The Great One,” is widely regarded as the greatest player in hockey history. Gretzky played 20 NHL seasons from 1979 through 1999 with the Edmonton Oilers, Los Angeles Kings, St. Louis Blues, and New York Rangers after beginning his major professional career in the World Hockey Association.Gretzky dominated the NHL statistically like few athletes have dominated any major sport. He won a record nine Hart Memorial Trophies as NHL MVP, including eight consecutive from 1980 through 1987, and captured 10 Art Ross Trophies as the league's leading scorer. His extraordinary 1981–82 season produced 92 goals, while in 1985–86 he recorded an incredible 215 points, both NHL single-season records. As the centerpiece of the Edmonton Oilers dynasty, Gretzky helped the franchise win four Stanley Cup championships in 1984, 1985, 1987, and 1988. His blockbuster 1988 trade to the Los Angeles Kings became one of hockey's defining moments and helped dramatically increase the NHL's popularity in the United States, particularly in nontraditional hockey markets.Gretzky retired holding virtually every major NHL offensive record and remains the league's career leader with 894 goals, 1,963 assists, and 2,857 points. Remarkably, his assists alone exceed the career point total of every other player in NHL history. The Hockey Hall of Fame inducted him in 1999, immediately waiving its normal waiting period, and the NHL permanently retired his No. 99 league-wide in 2000, an honor unmatched by any other NHL player.

Mr. Andrews began collecting baseball cards in the late 1950’s and continued into the early 1990’s.
