  • 1939 New York World's Fair By Ray Schober Art Deco Golden Crystalline Airplane DC3 Lamp
  • 1939 NYC World’s Fair Art Deco Airplane DC3 Lamp. Chrome plated & bent bar w/frosted, very unusual original Golden Crystalline Iridescent & Pearlized Glass Fuselage Airplane Body. Golden striping on fuselage body. Original World’s Fair Art Deco DC-3 Lamp, Model # L-166. This lamp was available in 3-variations of the glass body, Cobalt Blue w/Silver body lines, Frosted Clear w/Silver body lines, and the rarest here is striking Golden Crystalline finish w/Golden body lines. Some wear to this original shade but very minor and displays exceedingly well and chrome base & wings display as very good vintage condition. This lamp was manufactured by Premium Products Mfg. Co. and designed by Ray Schober. The glass lamp fuselage with its molded patent # embossed on the of bottom of the fuselage are exceedingly rare in any of the 3-variations. Reproductions of this lamp unfortunately have come out since the early 1980s by Sarsaparilla brands, these poorly made copies do NOT have Patent number molded into it, so fakes are easy to point out. This is the real deal.
  • Excellent condition. Age related wear.
  • Lamp is 7 1/2" tall and 11" wide.
  • From the Tim and Jamie Saloff Collection.
