  • Bob Gibson Hand Signed Autographed Framed Matted LeRoy Neiman Art Picture
  • Bob Gibson (1935–2020) was one of the most dominant and intimidating pitchers in Major League Baseball history and a legendary ace of the St. Louis Cardinals. Gibson spent his entire 17-season Major League career with St. Louis from 1959 through 1975, becoming renowned for his overpowering fastball, fierce competitiveness, and exceptional performances in postseason play.A nine-time All-Star, nine-time Gold Glove winner, and two-time Cy Young Award winner, Gibson produced one of the greatest pitching seasons ever in 1968. He finished the year with a remarkable 1.12 ERA, 22 victories, 13 shutouts, and 268 strikeouts, earning both the National League Cy Young and MVP Awards. His dominance came to symbolize baseball’s celebrated “Year of the Pitcher.”Gibson helped the Cardinals capture World Series championships in 1964 and 1967, earning World Series MVP honors both times. In Game 1 of the 1968 World Series against Detroit, he struck out 17 batters, setting a single-game World Series record that still stands. Gibson also threw a no-hitter against Pittsburgh in 1971.He finished his career with 251 victories, 3,117 strikeouts, 255 complete games, 56 shutouts, and a 2.91 ERA. The Cardinals retired his No. 45, and Gibson was inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame in 1981 on his first ballot, cementing his reputation as one of baseball’s greatest pitchers.
