  • Willie Stargell (1940–2001), Henry “Hank” Aaron (1934–2021), Frank Robinson (1935–2019), and Duke Snider (1926–2011) were four of Major League Baseball’s most celebrated power hitters and Hall of Fame stars. Stargell, affectionately known as “Pops,” spent his entire 21-season career with the Pittsburgh Pirates, hitting 475 home runs and leading the famous “We Are Family” Pirates to the 1979 World Series championship, earning both National League and World Series MVP honors. Aaron, known as “Hammerin’ Hank,” became one of baseball’s greatest offensive players, surpassing Babe Ruth’s career home-run record in 1974 and retiring with 755 home runs, 3,771 hits, and an MLB-record 2,297 RBIs. Robinson became the first player to win MVP honors in both the National and American Leagues, captured the 1966 Triple Crown with Baltimore, and finished with 586 home runs before later becoming the first Black manager in modern Major League history. Snider, the legendary “Duke of Flatbush,” was the powerful center fielder of the Brooklyn Dodgers’ great teams of the 1950s, hitting 407 career home runs and helping the Dodgers capture their historic 1955 World Series championship. All four were inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame and remain among the defining sluggers of their respective eras.

  • This Collection is offered with the personal guarantee of the consignor, Richard Andrews, who assembled it directly from the athletes over many years of collecting. Approximately ninety percent (90%) of the autographed items in this Collection were personally signed by the athlete in Mr. Andrews' presence. The remaining items were obtained from reputable auction sites.Mr. Andrews affirms that, to the best of his personal knowledge, no item in this Collection has been falsified, altered, re-signed, or misrepresented, and that the details provided for each item are accurate andbased on his own first-hand experience obtaining the autograph. Mr. Andrews began collecting baseball cards in the late 1950’s and continued into the early 1990’s. He befriended several promoters of sports card shows in the mid-1980’s, and this is how he came to know the athletes and obtain the majority of the autographs in his collection. In assisting with the aforementioned sports card shows, he was able to meet and spend personal time with many of his childhood baseball heroes, including Mickey Mantle, Don Drysdale, Whitey Ford, Ernie Banks, Eddie Mathews, Al Kaline, Brooks Robinson, and many others.As added assurance, Crafted Auctions will accept the return of any item in this Collection if the buyer obtains a documented “not authentic” determination from PSA/DNA, JSA, or Beckett within one hundredtwenty (120) days of purchase. The item must be returned in the same condition in which it was received, accompanied by the authenticator's written determination, for a full refund of the purchase price. Additionally, by appointment, Mr. Andrews will make himself available to share with any buyer additional specific details of any item in the Collection that is being offered at auction.
